Hollywood Baby!

Sean and I celebrated our 3rd anniversary by heading to Hollywood for the day. Neither one of us has visited there before, except to drive through it on the way to Universal Studios. We had a really good time. There were a lot of tourists, but it wasn't an issue. We ended up walking around Hollywood Blvd for a while just looking at all the stars on the sidewalk.

Then we headed over to Madame Tussauds wax museum. The museum was so fun! Not like I pictured it would be at all. The figures are placed around the room and you are able to "interact" with them as much as you want. Some of the figures were amazing, very lifelike.

This was the first thing you saw after stepping out of the elevator. It took us a minute to figure out it was a statue. We thought some guy was trying to be funny.
After we got used to the place we started having some fun =).

Jo, this one is for you =).

Freaky!

After the wax museum we headed over to Mann's Chinese Theatre. Apparently we had just missed Peter O'Toole's signing.

We also went to the Hollywood Museum. They have a lot of the original props and costumes from all sorts of movies. This one was very impressive. If you can't tell it's the entire cell block where Hannibal Lecter was kept in Silence of the Lambs and Dragon.

Hart Park

It has been a long while since the last time I posted anything. So I decided to post some fun photos of us at Hart Park. We went a few weeks ago and had a great time. Ryan loved being able to run around in a place so open. The parks and recreation department has made some nice improvements on it as well. The play grounds are really nice now, and all the equipment is updated.

Ryan was very interested to see where his pine cones went after dropping them in the burrows. I'm sure the squirrels didn't mind...

Knotts Berry Farm 2010

The week of Christmas Sean and I took some vacation time. On one of the days we went to Knotts Berry Farm with my brother and his family.

This was Ryan's first time meeting a character. He did very well. He wasn't scared at all, just very interested

All Play and No Work

This is some of what Ryan does to entertain himself while I am getting ready for work in the mornings. He's a perfect fit!

Happy Halloween

This year for Halloween we decided to dress Ryan up. Last year he was still pretty little. We went with a Skeleton theme. Ryan looked too cute. Sean and I also dressed for the theme, but much more toned down. I just wore a t-shirt with a skull and cross bones and Sean had on a Goonies logo shirt. We forgot to get a photo with all of us in it, but you get the idea. We started off at Sean's parents house to visit and have dinner and then caught up with my brother and his family for some trick or treating.

Aren't they all so cute?

Ryan is still too little to really understand the concept of strangers giving him things. But after a while he got used to the rhythm of things...and then he started trying to go into everyone's homes.

Pumpkin Time

We headed out to the Banducci Pumpkin Patch again this year. It was a lot of fun. Ryan had a blast playing with all of the pumpkins. We even did the corn maze!

Ryan's 1st Birthday!

We had family and close friends over to celebrate Ryan's first birthday. It turned out just perfect. I cannot believe it has been a year since he was born. He was so tiny at first but now he's growing up into such a handsome little boy. He will always be my little baby though.

The cake I made. I'm quite proud of it.
He was in such a happy mood.

Totally posing for the camera's.

He was very interested in the texture and feel of the frosting. It's not everyday he gets to play with his food.

Thank you to everyone who helped us celebrate, and for the wonderful gifts you brought.

Disneyland!

We were invited to go to Disneyland by my brother and his family and since Sean and I were on vacation we decided to go. It turned out to be pretty fun even though it was hot. My brother and his family go all the time and they really know their way around, that helped out a lot. We didn't get to go on too many rides, having to work around Ryan's schedule, but we did hit most of the good ones. Indiana Jones is still my favorite =).

Ryan and me in front of Snow Whites wishing well.

Zoo Day

We took a trip to the Fresno Chaffe Zoo on Monday. It was a great day. The weather was good, hot, but most of the zoo is shaded. And there were maybe 20 other people there besides us. It's the perfect sized zoo for a one year old.

We went to the Winged Wonder Show and I volunteered to go up to see the demonstration on how quietly owls fly. They put the landing post directly behind me so the owl would fly right over my head. It was very cool.

That's where he landed, and I was sitting on the tree stump with the little green pillow on it.
