4 Weeks and/or 1 Month

Today Ryan turns 4 weeks old. I'm not sure if that makes him a month old, or if he will be a month old on September 28th. And who makes that decision anyways? Either way here are a few more pictures from today =).

He wouldn't smile for me, but this was just as good.
This was the second time he's had an actual bath. He doesn't mind them, but I think he's confused as to what is going on.

Ryan

Just a little update and some new pictures of Ryan. He weighed 6lbs 5oz at his last appointment on Tuesday, and he grew another inch. He was also circumcised on Tuesday, we both cried, me a little more then him. His umbilical cord is gone now too, which makes changing him much easier.

I'll try to keep the updates and new pictures coming, it's just a matter of finding a moment =).

Home Sweet Home

After being in the NICU for 8 long days, Ryan finally got to come home last Saturday. He passed his car seat test with no problems, as you can see below he's a little small inside of it. We also just got back from his first doctors visit today. He gained weight, he's now up to 5 lbs 5 ozs, and he grew an inch to boot! It is so amazing having him home, even with the lack of sleep. I wouldn't trade it for the world.

Ryan Jackson Perry

So just another little update. After we got home from the hospital Wednesday morning I had a few questions about some of the information given to me while I was there. So on Thursday morning I called my doctors office to get them answered. After they answered my questions they told me that I just need to keep track of any contractions I might have and call them back if I have more then 4 in an hour. I had 7 in the following hour so I had to go back in. To make a long story short I was immediately admitted to the hospital and on Friday night 8/28/2009 at 9:33 pm Sean and I welcomed our son.

Ryan Jackson Perry: 4lbs 14ozs, 17 inches long. Since he's a little small he will be spending some time in the NICU. We are hopeful that we will be able to bring him home by next week. It's hard to come home without him, but we know that it's for the best that he gets the care he needs right now.

Practice Run.

So we had a little bit of a scare early Wednesday morning. We took a trip to the hospital and were told that my water had broken and that we would have a baby sometime today. Thankfully the doctor made a bad call in the beginning and we got to go home after a few hours.

As you can see from my smile, this picture was taken after they told us everything was fine and we would be able to go home.

Beach

So these are our pictures that I took while we were at the Beach with Ty, Michelle, J, and the boys. We had a really fun time. Everyone got to play in the water and I chose to just relax in the beach chairs. While we were there we were able to see some dolphins swim by, twice! They were really close to the shore and I think they scared J for a second, he was in the water waiting for a wave right next to them. Unfortunately I was unable to pull my camera out in time to get a shot of them, but it was very cool to see them.

New Couch

We were finally able to sell our old couches and get a new one. After waiting around for what seemed like an eternity, it finally arrived!

Birthday Cake.

I made this cake for my niece Reese for her birthday, she turned 8 this year. It's a chocolate cake with peanut butter cream filling. It was so delicious, everyone loved it.

Baby Bump.

Here we are, me and my boy at 20 weeks =). So far the pregnancy has been pretty easy, I'm keeping my fingers crossed hoping that labor will follow suit.
